On the 26th of February 2021, 92 younger members of the Order of Saint Augustine in the Asia Pacific came together through a virtual gathering to enrich friendship and collaboration amongst Augustinians of the Asia Pacific region. Differences in time zones, locations, and language did not hinder these young Augustinians from experiencing ‘’oneness in mind and heart” as brothers and friends united in charity. The gathering was enriched by the presentations of Fr Joseph Farrell OSA (Vicar General) on Leadership and Obedience in the Rule of St Augustine; Fr Peter Jones OSA (President, Order of St Augustine in the Asia Pacific (OSAAP) Major Superiors) on the History of OSAAP, and Fr Tony Banks OSA (Assistant General) on OSAAP Now and into the Future. With Augustinians participating from Rome, Australia, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Spain, and Czech Republic, the “internationality” of the Order was indeed on display. Fr Tony Banks OSA reminded us that “maintaining our communion in the Order is what holds us together.”
